The Bottom, Saba: Last Saturday, June 19, the host of the weekly radio program "Good Day Saba", Mr. Dave Levenstone aka Dj. Davio, organized the first ever Father’s Day Poem competition over the Voice of Saba, 93.9 QFM. 

The Bottom, Saba: After 13 years of dedicated service Ms. Rose Marie Hassell has called it quits. Ms. Hassell started out working at the Hon. Henry Every Old Age Home as a Nurse’s Assistant in 1997 and had reached the retirement age in 2007 but decided to stay on for another three years.

The event which is being organized by the Korsow Krioyo Associashon, headed by Mr. Hensley Martes, as president, will kick of on Saturday, June 26th 2010 with a Domino Tournament which starts at 2.00 p.m. at the Sunny Valley Youth Center in The Bottom.

The House of Representatives of the Dutch Parliament has approved the introduction of the US dollar on the islands of Bonaire, St Eustatius and Saba. This means that on 1 January 2011 the Netherlands Antillean guilder will be replaced by the American dollar. 

The Island Government of St. Eustatius has been working on improving the civil core through an overall training programme. Several key persons in government were trained by Bestuurs. 

Leader of the Democratic Party on Saba, Mr. Dave Levnstone on Monday forwarded a letter to the Executive Council of Saba regarding the road leading to the Gap area and also to Below the Gap.

As of the end of march 2010, InselAir has taken over the Airport sales and the Passenger handling in Aruba. InselAir has decided to take this step after the representative of InselAir in Aruba has failed to deposit money of the sales to Insel’s bankaccount in Aruba. 

KRALENDIJK — The Van Gent-motion for an inquiry into the homo-emancipation in the Antilles and on Aruba, which a large majority of the Lower Chamber had adopted last week, is only ‘political opportunism’.
