CARIBE LUMBER, ST. MAARTEN—St. Maarten made it to the finals for the first time in the seven-year history of the Nagico One Day Cricket tournament, by defeating one of the competition favorites St. Kitts by five wickets at the Caribe Lumber Ballpark in St. Maarten yesterday.

MOLINEUX, ST. KITTS—St. Kitts snatched victory from the jaws of defeat yesterday afternoon in their Nagico One Day cricket match against Nevis a the Edgar Gilbert Sporting Complex in Molineux, St. Kitts.

ANGUILLA/ST. MAARTEN—Moreland Le Blanc registered a half century and a three wicket haul from vice captain Colin Hamer denied Anguilla a win in the second day of the Nagico One Day Cricket tournament yesterday at the Caribe Lumber Ballpark in St. Maarten.

CAYON, ST. KITTS—Nevis has placed its stamp on the Nagico One Day Cricket tournament yesterday with a six wicket win at the St. Mary’s Grounds in Cayon, St. Kitts. Montserrat, who batted first, scored 222 for nine after 50 overs; St. Kitts responded with 223 for four in 41.4 overs.

MOLINEUX, ST. KITTS—Codville Rogers became the second player in the 2009 Nagico Cricket Tournament to score a century, notching 102 runs yesterday to help St. Kitts pulverize the US Virgin Islands by 211 runs at the Edgar Gilbert Sports Complex in Molineux in St. Kitts. Rogers’ 102 followed a scintillating 116 scored by St. Maarten’s John Eugene on Monday at the Caribe Lumber Ballpark in St. Maarten against the British Virgin Islands.

Despite a rain shortened 40 over encounter, Nevis made light-work of the US Virgin Islands in the first day of the Nagico one Day Cricket Tournament at the Cayon cricket field in St. Kitts; crushing the minnows by 152 runs.

Despite an impressive performance of 65 runs by Montserrat captain Lionel Baker, Montserrat were nowhere in sight of victory against a formidable St. Kitts team.

The 7th Annual 2009 Nagico One Day Cricket Tournament began on Monday October 12th 2009, on the islands:of St. Kitts, St. Maarten and Anguilla. The teams that played on Monday were Antigua vs Anguilla in Anguilla & St. Maarten vs BVI in St.Maarten.
